Hungarian style Croutons are a side dish for the Hungarian Caraway Soup and the Creamed Hungarian Caraway Soup. However, crouton is crouton, no? Feel free to use it as you see fit.
Yields: 1+1/4 cup
Cooking time: 5 min
You need: a (heavy) skillet
- 2-3 Tbsp of butter
- 2-3 slices of bread
- Salt or pepper, if you wish.
- Put the butter in the skillet and melt it over low heat.
- Cut the bread into square pieces.
- Put the bread into the skillet and stir until all sides are coated and browned.
